Well, I can honestly say that the last thing I expected to see in my spam Gmail account’s inbox was spam about mesothelioma. Well, I guess it happened and I had to click it to see what it was all about. Basically, it reads that “millions of americans have been exposed to asbestos and developed mesothelioma cancer!” I haven’t really heard a lot about this and have no idea on its validity, but if it’s true, that really sucks.

The email continues, “find out now if you are entitled to compensation for your suffering.” Hell, if I was exposed to asbestos and developed a cancer of any kind, I would definitely expect some compensation. It’s great that people are smart enough in the legal sense to help others out that might not be. “Contact us now for a free private case evaluation.” That could also be a great thing, as people that are suffering do not have to suffer even more to figure out if they are entitled to the compensation that the email is talking about.

Today, I received an email that was about Netflix. As you know, Netflix recently switched from a combined service to split packages. One of their services offers unlimited streaming. The other service, the DVDs mailed to your home, was going to be renamed but was kept as Netflix. While before the two services were $7.99 a month together, they are now $7.99 each.

I can’t really check out the free trial, as I already have Netflix. I personally chose the unlimited streaming option, which is hooked up to my TV via my Xbox 360 console.

Today, I received an email that was marked as spam by Google‘s Gmail filters. This email was from a service known as Blog Blaster, a service promising to make your ad spread all over the internet. Their method is completely “confidential,” and has apparently only been used once or twice.

Blog Blaster will take your ad and place it on “millions” of blogs on the internet. Then, you will receive hits to your website from those ads. Blog Blaster will even go a step further and only place your ad on blogs that match your ad’s category. Today, I received an e-mail from Amazon.com, or at least I think it was. It was from their Facebook app, sending me a “deal of the day.” Basically, this deal was sent to everyone who “liked” Amazon.com on Facebook. I guess you can choose for yourself whether or not you take the deal. The “deal of the day,” although really it is longer than a day, still has a $39.50 price tag. To be honest, I don’t know what the shirt is worth to begin with. There is free shipping on this item, so that may be something a viewer is interested in. The shirt kind of looks like someone poured ketchup on it and smeared a heart into it, but you can be the judge on that. “Want to start your own business?” “Find the right opportunity for yourself!” “Get info on owning your own business!” These are three quotes that I saw in an e-mail I received today that linked to FranchiseSearch.com. Basically, the idea is to create your own franchise of an already existing business. You would definitely be “your own boss,” but you wouldn’t be a CEO or anything like that.

Don’t get me wrong, though. For some people, the responsibilities of CEO or CFO are too much and they aren’t interested in doing something like that. Sometimes, a management position, franchise manager in this case, is enough for them. You can Google Search or Bing for “start a franchise” or similar and come up with hundreds of results. I, myself, have never tried to start a franchise. I founded 507 Productions instead, but as I stated before, a franchise is sometimes exactly what people are looking for. For me, there is a lot of risk in whether the business is successful or not, and I will either take the debt or reap the benefits. If I started a franchise, I could be compensated, but wouldn’t make millions if the actual company expanded.

I regret to inform all of the readers that this blog will not be updated for the rest of December. We are currently undergoing updates among other things, where posting blogs can disrupt the things we are doing.
